Get it done book1/17/2024 As the title suggests, this book looks at how to tune your mind to get things done, be more productive and how to fight what comes in the way of finishing your projects / achieving your goals. Quite a mouthful, isn’t it? But, the book isn’t very long. The chosen book for this episode is Michael Mackintosh’s Get it done – the 21-day mind hack system to double productivity and finish what you started. Hello listeners! Welcome to another episode from Digital Amrit’s book reviews. The text of the first portion of the podcast is as follows. To conclude: Three stars but still a reading recommendation for anyone who feels stuck at a project at the moment. It's entertaining, it's reminding you of things you might or should already know, but it does it in a funny and/or motivating way and maybe there are even a few strategies that you didn't stumble across before. So yes, that's why I rate this book with three stars. ![]() That's why the way it was written didn't disturb me.įor me, it took a bit of time to get into it, because the writing style is more like the way a motivational speaker talks, but if you're not in it to only get information I think his style is quite fitting, although sometimes maybe a bit over the top, but well, you can't have it all. Well for me it wasn't about getting so much new info, but more about a constant reminder of how things work and what needs to be done in order to achieve a goal set for oneself. So on the other hand one could argue, why read this book at all, if it's all already out there easy to get access to. In the end it's about creating an action plan, setting deadlines, being accountable, measuring progress, all things well researched in psychology and goal research. Why?Īlthough it is quite interesting with many handy tips it's nothing mind-blowing or completely new. Make more money (by completing projects that add massive value to the world)Īlthough I liked this book it feels hard to give it more than three stars.
